Design Dashboard Review
I just finished the once-over of Marlon’s latest product Design Dashboard.
I must say I am impressed!
Now, this is not any high-level rocket science type of product that enables you to compete with a professional graphic design and web development company within minutes.
Rather it is a step by step instructional product that takes you from beginning to end of how to build your website.
It starts with creating a header graphic. This part I really liked. Marlon searched through many graphic programs to find one that was easy to use, economical, and most of all, could do absolutely everything that was needed. And he found a great one – priced in the $50-$80 range. (I won’t let you know what it is, as this is part of the proprietary info in the product)
I really like the creating a header information, as I am graphically challenged. I learned many things I didn’t know about formatting, gradients, color picking, and files sizes. And best of all, I now know a system to use that works efficiently and successfully. Before this I was always just trying things, guessing at what would work.
Marlon then goes through many special effects that you can add. This was another nice section to pick up some good tips. I think I will write a seperate post on a number of ideas that you can add to your website. Needless to say, again Marlon’s instructions were clear, concise and easy to follow.

Next Marlon goes into the actual Web Page construction. He first gives you the link where you can download an excellent FREE website editor. I have used Nvu in the past – another free editor that Marlon says is good. But the one Marlon does suggest is even better. Of course if you already have your own website editor, whether it is DreamWeaver, FrontPage, XsitePro, or whatever, you can easily use that and still follow along with the instructions.
Now I have created websites for years, from hand coding them with html, to using a variety of other tools. So this is the area I expected I would know everything that Marlon would show me. Well, you know what – Marlon surprised me and showed me a few new tricks.
Now in essence, I could do everything that Marlon showed me how to do – but he showed me a new way – that is an improvement on the way I was doing it. And that is probably the number one thing I got out of this whole program is the systematic way that Marlon show how to build a website. He knows how to do it effectively, in as few steps as needed, to produce superior results.
Next stage – sales letter – now this part was awesome. Again, I have read lots about writing sales letters – but now I have a system, step by step, to create amazing sales letters anytime I want. By having this system in place – it will save me time on every web page I create. Truly impressive.
Then on to the mechanics of building web pages. Marlon goes through how to set up autoresponders, set up payment systems and how to add fly-in windows, and other scripts. He also goes over setting up domain hosting, ftp, site tracking and touches briefly on promotion. All of these again are covered very well, with clear cut systematic step by step process.
So – the big question – is the Design Dashboard worth shelling out your had earned cash for. Well – if you are on this list – it is an absolute NO-BRAINER – BUY IT NOW:
- Newbie – have not put up a website ever
- Beginner – have done a basic website, but not very good, or only template based.
- Advanced beginner – pretty good understanding of how to build websites, but not familiar with scripts, payment, or tracking

- Intermediate Web but lacking graphic design skills – Website are easy, but your graphics suck (this is me by the way)
- Intermediate to Advanced but no systems – if you know how to do everything, but lack a good step by step system – taking too long to build sites.
- Advanced user looking to train others – if you want to show others how to build a website you will never find a better product.
For the low price of $59 bucks – this cannot be beat!
